Position: Marketing and Communications Intern
Hours: Part-time, to suit academic credit requirements
This is an unpaid internship
In early 2018, Trenton Circus Squad completed a messaging project designed to refine the language used to describe the program. Over the next 6-12 months, we are investing in a brand-building effort designed to raise awareness about our programs, and to encourage participation and financial support.
The selected intern will join a small, dedicated team sheperding this uniquely successful program into its growth phase. Working directly with the Executive Director and making use of our signature graphics and messaging, the Marketing and Communications intern will design promotional campaigns and marketing communications that result in growth in program participation, community audience and donor base.
Activities will include: preparation of press releases, generation of visually pleasing stories about the organization's work, planning and execution of promotional campaigns including judicious placement of paid advertising; development of a sustainable social media presence and posting schedule.
Suits business or communications major in junior or senior year. Must have a good understanding of print and social media, strong written communications and an ability to use Canva or Adobe Illustrator.
