WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING...

Listen to squad members tell us about the program

Youth Leaders

It not only increases their self-esteem, it opens their eyes to different opportunities out there they may have never thought of and that they thought they wouldn't be able to do. It gives them something really positive to think about. For teenagers involved with the criminal justice system, it's exciting to see them passionate and determined and learning positive skills. Everyone is welcoming. No one is judgemental. Everyone is supportive.

This is the best trip we have ever taken!

This was so awesome! …. It helps the children to build self-esteem because they are trying new things that they wouldn't normally do. Once participants have mastered the new skills, their faces are beaming with joy.

Kordell has found his niche…his pack…his sense of belonging – the Trenton Circus Squad.  And his confidence has soared as high as the Big Top!  More and more, as he mastersskills and dares to push the envelope, he believes in himself and his future.  It’s been amazing to watch himgo after his dreams – those of being a performer – and see them begin to take shape right in front of our eyes.  He’s become a young man.  And a great one at that!

Squad Members

I like it here.  The people are kind and they don’t judge you.  And I learned to flip.

My favorite part was….seeing kids' faces when they realized they could do something they didn't think they could do

We greatly appreciate you sharing your students with us for a fun and lively afternoon of silliness. The group’s enthusiasm and passion was contagious.  It was heartwarming to see the clowns interact after the performance with the residents and participants.  Those simple gestures of kindness are very special to the residents.
